An even larger leap!

Here comes a ton of links your way.  All modified versions have been set up in the new file structure making sure vs.  And realism worked on servers without issue.  For the most of these, you'll see three download links.  One is for the client file, is an easy to use EXE with an uninstaller program as well.  The other two downloads are the files that will go on your server.  There's a rar and a zip file.  You only need one of them, but some servers can unpack rar files and some can't.  Basically what I'm trying to do is cover all the bases here.  So now's the time to upload your servers, test, play, kill, run, and all that good shit.  Make sure to report any bugs or errors on the new forums, and feel free to join, because it's for both gamers and mappers alike.  Well I will let you get to it, as you have a few downloads to get.  Enjoy

Port project update

I've come to a stopping point with trying to fix the VPK issue.  I have however, made a easy to use EXE to install and uninstall the maps, materials, missions, and scripts folders[among others] so that all game modes are available, easy to install and remove just the same.  These files for the server, come in a separate package and are easily installed to the server.  I'll do my best to get these out to you as soon as possible, but right now money comes first and I'm not making any so I need to focus on some cash or get a boat load of donations.  All in all the ports are coming along well we're almost done.

Its time to pack up and move along!

Well after a solid year or so of helping l4dmods, i have decided to step down and do my own thing. It was fun while it lasted, but refuse to contribute a massive amount just to be set on the back burner. Anyways, the ports are coming along smoothly, as well as my own projects. I look forward to bringing ya some quality custom content for l4d and l4d2.keep a look out for incoming updates, and if at all possible donate to my mapping studio to get it up and running at full speed. See ya out there.....

So far, I've gotten some progress done on no mercy modified and dead air vs. Hungry hungry hippos has made substantial progress on no mercy original vs. We're still looking into the vpk issue with vs. Besides that bug, things are beginning to roll smoothly. I will keep you updated as much as possible on progress.

Update to the L4D-L4D2 conversion

OK, so it's been awhile since we gave you a good update report. It's been tough to keep track of everything with such a small team. So few discussions have taken place, and some ideas have been tossed around. These are some things we do need;
A few more link mirrors, possibly even a dedicated host for downloads as the main site has gotten a lot of traffic.
More server owners to host the maps.
Two or three beta testing teams. That way, these beta test can produce more but finds, producing faster releases. Add me to steam if you have a team you can form.
We can use a public relations person. One that can handle typing up brief explanations of updates, work in progress, and maybe even work up a basic frequently asked questions article.
There's lots more we can use, but little time to explain. So, if you have something you can contribute or think will benefit this conversion, at me to steam or send me an im on l4d mods.com.

We have also currently taken on a team amount of, to assist me in getting the vs. Maps out there, he goes by the name hungry hungry hippos. We are currently testing no mercy vs. Version one and have released a dead air version two vs. I apologize for being version two already, but much testing was done this. As far as the Co OP maps go, no mercy will be completely finalized on the next update, and I will bounce back between original and modified versions, but it shouldn't take too long to complete these. Death toll is really the only one that has any issues that will take or may take an extra Mana time to iron out. Rest assured, you will get them to you, as we enjoy playing them as much as you do.
On behalf of the entire team, I'd like to personally thank every one of you that has taken interest or have downloaded these maps. It's been a great ride so far, and I look for to completion, basically giving us a complete conversion. Other goodies are in the works, but I won't spoil that. I'll save those until they are ready.
